The first week of play, all exhibitions


1. Stanford: McCall and Kailee Johnson will be very good. The screens will help our very good three point shooters be even better.
Top Player: Amber Orrange
Top Newcomer: Kaylee Johnson

Beat Vanguard 105-50. Lili Thompson with 26 points, Frosh Kaylee Johnson with 12 points and 16 rebounds and Erica McCall with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Beat UCSD 74-51. McCall with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Taylor Greenfield had 16 points and both Kaylee Johnson and Amber Orrange had 12 rebounds. The downside, Stanford shot just 37%.

2. Cal: Hard to beat the combo of Gray and Boyd and their pretty easy schedule. But they lost two very good Srs and the frosh won’t replace them for a while.

Top Player: Well got to pick two Reshanda Gray and Brittany Boyd.
Top Newcomer: Two again Gabby Green and Mikayla Cowling

Beat Vanguard 75-42. Courtney Range had 15 points and 11 rebounds while Brittany Boyd had 12 points and 9 assists. Cal was just 4 of 21 from three but dominated inside even without Reshanda Gray as they were 60% inside the three point line.

3. Oregon State: Great guards and the big post Hamlin.
Top Player: Sydney Wiese
Top Newcomer: Marie Gulich

Beat Western Oregon 98-38. Jamie Weisner had 25 points, 10 of 10 from the floor including 5 of 5 from three.

4. Washington: The best Guards in the conference and I’m banking on Collier to be all the way back. They will rain threes. Great depth which was missing last season.

Top Newcomer: Heather Corral back from injury

5 UCLA: Players back from injury a great player in Fields and the # 1 recruiting class. Still maybe a year away.
Top Player: Nirra Fields

Top Newcomer: Two again or maybe three Recee Caldwell, Jordin Canada and Monique Billings

Beat Westmont 92-54 with an amazing 61 fouls called. Frosh Paulina Hesler had 14 points and 13 rebounds. Kari Korver had 4 threes. UCLA only shot 36%, but did make 10 threes at 37%.

6. USC: The graduation of Harberts hurts but the loss of Crook really hurts.
Top Player: Alexya Vaioletama
Top Newcomer: Alexis Lloyd who transferred in last year.

Beat Concordia 120 -56. Frosh Kristen Simon made her debut with 19 points and 15 rebounds in just 16 minutes.

7. Washington State: They have most back from last year and they have their best team in years.
Top Player: Lia Gladeira
Top Newcomer: Louise Brown from Australia

Beat Central Methodist 71-56 with Lia Gladeira scoring 26 points.

8. Oregon: New Coach new philosophy and some good players.
Top Player: Jillian Alleyne
Top Newcomer: Jacinta Vandenberg

Beat Westmont 81-44. Jillian Alleyne had 12 points and 10 rebounds.

9. ASU: Two really good young players in Moos and Brunner but Charlie does it year after year so probably will do better than 8th.
Top Player: Kelsey Moos and Sophie Brunner
Top Newcomer: Ayanna Edwards

Nov 14 Middle Tennessee, Nov 19 Cal State Bakersfield, Nov 25 at Miami of Florida, Nov 28 Villanova in Florida



10. Colorado: Tough league which is best ever in depth. Loss of Roberson really hurts.
Top Player: Jen Reese
Top Newcomer: Alina Hartman from Germany

Beat Colorado State, Pueblo 90-57. Very balanced scoring.

11. Utah: The return of Wicijowski is a big boost.
Top Player: Taryn Wicijowski
Top newcomer: Wicijowski who missed last season with an ACL.

LOST to Alaska Anchorage 67-61 despite going 11 of 22 from three.

12. Arizona: Again.
Top Player: Candice Warthen
Top Newcomer: Taryn Griffey
