Results of the Week

Stanford wins the Pac 12 title again, 14 in a row. Cal clinches a bye to open the Pac 12 tourney while ASU and Oregon State are just a win away from a first round bye.


1. Stanford: 25-2, 14-1 ranked # 5
Beat USC 64-59. Chiney with 27 points and 7 rebounds and Bonnie Samuelson with 14 points, 8 of 8 on FTs with 6 of those in the last few minutes. Stanford trailed by 19 early in the first half. Stanford clinches at least a share of the Pac 12 title.

Beat UCLA 65-56. Chiney with 26 points and 15 rebounds. Orrange had 13 points and Ruef had 11 rebounds. The Cardinal had 9 assist to 16 turnovers, maybe a season low.

2. Cal: 20-7, 12-4 Ranked # 18
Beat UCLA 77-72. Reshanda Gray with 13 points and 15 rebounds and Gennifer Brandon with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Brittany Boyd had 14 points and 6 assists but also 6 turnovers. However Boyd had a huge steal with seconds left and then made 2 free throws to win the game for the Bears.

Beat USC 76-57. Gray with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Afure Jemerigbe with 16 points and 7 assists. The Bears shot 51%.

Beat Colorado 55-51. Katie Hempen with 3 of 4 from there for 13 points.

3. Oregon State: 19-9, 11-5

Beat Washington State, again without Weisner, 67-53. It was the Beaver 6th straight win. Ruth Hamlin with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Sydney Weise with 16 points, 4 of 9 from three.

Beat Washington 77-57 at Washington for their 7th straight win. Hamlin 18 points and 14 rebounds. Devon Hunter with 17 points and Gabriella Hanson with 15 points. The Beavers shot 53%.

5.USC: 16-12, 9-7

Lost to Stanford 64-59 after leading by 19 in the first half. With a fury of 12 points late USC had scored only 10 in the first 17 minutes of the 2nd half. Cassie Harberts had 12 points and Ariya Cook lead with 24 points.

Lost to Cal 76-67. Harberts had 18 points.

5. Washington: 16-11, 9-7
Beat Oregon 108-100. Kelsey Plum scored 38 points, 6 of 12 from three and 5 assist with no turnovers. Jazmine Davis added 24 points and 7 assists. The Huskies had just 7 turnovers.

Lost to Oregon State 77-57. The Huskies shot just 32%, 3 of 17 from three.
17 from three. Plum had 26 and Davis had 19 points. The rest of the team was 5 of 23 for 12 points.

Lost to Oregon State 67-53. Lia Galdeira had 18 points while the Cougars had just 4 turnovers. However they were out rebounded badly and shot just 29%.

Beat Oregon 108-88. Tia Presley had 32 points on 13 of 17 from the floor. Gladeira scored 27. The Cougars shot 54 % overall and 67% from 2 point range.

Beat ASU 61-35. Chiney had 20 points and 13 rebounds and Amber Orrange had 14 points as Stanford shot 54%.

Beat Arizona 74-48. Bonnie Samuelson hit 5 threes in the first half for 17 points. Chiney had 15 points and 9 rebounds in just 22 minutes. Stanford again shot 54% plus were 13 of 24 from three. Orrange had 9 points and 9 assists.

Beat USC 58-48 as Sydney Weise score 17 points and set a new Oregon State single season record with 76 threes. Jamie Weisner is still out with a hand/arm injury.

Beat Oregon 103-83. Nyingifa scored 34 points and had 12 rebounds and Nirra Fields had 26 points and 11 rebounds. Thea Lemberger scored 21 points. The Bruins shot 55% and were 9 of 15 from three.

Lost to USC 88-78. Jillian Alleyne had 19 points and 24 rebounds ( note there were a total of 105 missed shots in the game). Chrishae had 28 points but was 9 of 32 from the floor including 4 of 17 from three. Attendance at Oregon was just under 1,000.

Lost to UCLA103-83. Ariel Thomas scored 28 points and Alleyne had 2e4 points 12 rebounds and 6 steals. Rowe was 1 of 16 for 3 points.

1. Stanford: 22-2, 11-1 ranked # 6

Beat Washington State 77-69 in a game that was anyone’s to win until the last 20 seconds. Chiney with an awesome 36 points and 16 rebounds. Taylor Greenfield hasd11 points, 3 of 4 from three and 5 assists. Karlie Samuelson was also 3 of 4 from three, for 9 points.

Lost to Washington 87-82. Chiney with 23 poits and 13 rebounds and Micaela Ruef with her best game ever with 16 points and 22 rebounds. Stanford out rebounded the Huskies by 18 and had just 7 turnovers but shot 35% overall and 9 for 41 from three.

Beat Arizona 60-36. No one played over 24 minutes in the easy win, although at the half the score was tied. Then the Sun Devils held Arizona to just 10 points in the 2nd half.

Lost to Arizona 68-48, Deja Mann with 15 points. The Sun Devils shot 32% and had 20 turnovers.

Cal out rebounded the Cougars by 29.

Beat Stanford for their first win over a top 5 team in 24 years, 87-82. Kelsey Plum had 23 points and Aminah Williams with 16 points and 11 rebounds but an all around game for the Huskies as all starters in double figures. Washington had just 5 turnovers and shot 47 % overall and 9 of 22 from three.

Beat Cal 70-64. Chiney with 23 points and 12 rebounds, Michaela Ruef with 12 rebounds and Karlie Samuelson with 14 points.

Beat Cal 79-64 with Chiney scoring 29 points and Ruef getting 11 rebounds. Karlie Samuelson scored 16 points and Stanford shot 55%.

Chiney was the Pac 12 Player of the Week for the 7th time this season.
