Stanford Clinches the Pac10 Title

Stanford Clinched at least a tie for their 10th straight Pac 10 title.

1. Stanford 15-0, 25-1.

Beat Oregon 104-60. Ros held Lilley of Oregon to a single late field goal. Stanford had 8 blocked shots, Jos with 4 and held the Ducks to 32% shooting. Jayne with 26 points and 12 rebounds, Kayla with 14 and 10, Nneka with 17 points. The big news was Jeanette with 6 of 9 from three for 26 points, 7 assists and no turnovers.

Clinched the Pac 10 Title tie with an 82-48 win over Oregon State. Jayne with 12 points and 10 rebounds, and by passing 1,000 rebounds and 2,000 points joined Val Whiting and Nicole Powell as the three Stanford players who have done this. Nneka with 17 points, Jeanette with 13 points and 5 assists and Jayne adding 5 blocked shots.

2. UCLA 11-3, 18-7

Beat Washington 73-55. Last game the Bruins drew 8,000. Mostly freebies for kids, but 8,000 is fantastic. It worked so well this game had 796 fans. Sad, as UCLA is playing so well. UCLA shot 54% The Bruins did have 25 turnovers, they caused the Huskies to have 26. Markel Walker was 6 of 7 from the floor and 6 of 7 from the free throw line for 19 points. Jasmine Dixon added 17 points.

Beat Washington State 93-58. Five Bruins scored in double figures led by Rebekah Gardner with 19 points. Jasmine Dixon had 16 points and 10 rebounds. UCLA had 20 steals, 5 by Gardner, leading to 38!! Cougar turnovers. But, the Bruins had 36 turnovers themselves. The Bruins shot 58%. Nina Earl scored 13 points as did Doreena Campbell. Moniquee Alexander added 11 points and 7 rebounds.

3. Cal 10-5, 16-10

Beat Oregon State 66-62. Alexis Gray-Lawson was 6 of 9 from the floor for 17 points. DeNesha Stallworth scored 19 points and Gennifer Brandon had 10 rebounds.

Beat Oregon 79-73. Gray-Lawson went only 1 for 9 from three but led with 19 points. Brandon had 11 points and 11 rebounds. Stallworth 19 points and 11 rebound. Layshia Clarendon scored 17 points. Cal was only 3 of 27 from three, but out rebounded the Ducks by 23.

4. ASU 8-6, 16-9

Beat Arizona 57-49. Danielle Orsillo, Becca Tobin and Janae Fulcher all scored 10 points. Alex Earl hit two late three pointers to break the game open at the end.

4. USC 8-6, 14-11

Lost at home to Washington State 64-52. Must really be fun to be in LA, so much to do. Attendance at only 532. Geesh. No one in double figures for the Trojans, although four players had 8 or 9 points. Aarika Hughes had 11 rebounds and Jackie Gemelos had 9 rebounds and 8 points.

Beat Washington 56-51. Gemelos scored 13 points and Brianna Gilbreath has 11 points and 10 rebounds.

6. Oregon 7-7, 16-10

Lost at Stanford 104-60. Micaela Cocks scored 20 points, and Victoria Kenyon, the Oregon post, was 3 for 3 from three for 13 points.

Lost to Cal 79-73. Taylor Lilley scored 24 points, 4 from 7 from three. Nia Jackson had 16 points and Amanda Johnson 13.

7. Arizona 6-8, 13-12

Beat Cal State Northridge 73-50. The Wildcats shot 61% in the 2nd half and out rebounded Northridge by 16, although did have one more turnover. Ify Ibekwe scored 17 and Soana Lucet 12 but they had 9 turnovers between them. Davelynn Whyte had 9 points and 5 assists. Brooke Jackson scored 10 points.

Lost to ASU 57-49. . Soana Luccet had 12 points and 10 rebounds. Ify only scored 4 points but had 17 rebounds.

8. Washington: 4-11, 9-16

Lost to UCLA 73-55. The Huskies committed 26 turnovers. Kristi Kingma led the Huskies with a low 10 points. Sarah Morton and Sami Whitcomb scored 9 each. Whitcomb added 6 assists.

Lost to USC 54-51. Kingma scored 15 points, Mollie Williams scored 8 and had 10 rebounds.

9. Washington State 2-13, 7-19

Beat USC in LA 64-52. Kiki Moore had 19 points, making 3 threes and pulled down 9 rebounds. April Cook scored 18 points. The Cougar defense held USC to 27% shooting.

Lost to UCLA 93-58 and committed 38 turnovers. Carli Noyes had 15 points. Kiki Moore had 7 steals, but 9 turnovers, Danielle LeNoir had 8 steals.

10. Oregon State 1-13, 9-16

Lost to Cal 66-62 and fell to last place in the conference. Three players scored 15 points for the Beavers, Talisa Rhea, Haiden Palmer and Eisha Sheppard. Sara El Greer had 9 rebounds, 5 offensive. Both teams shot 48% from the floor.

Lost at Stanford 82-48. Haiden Palmer led Oregon State with 16 points.

1. Stanford 13-0, 23-1.

Beat Washington 58-36. Jayne with 18 points and 13 rebounds. The Defense held Washington to 26% from the floor.

Beat Washington State 98-57 lead by Jayne’s 25 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. Nneka scored 21 points, Jeanette had 5 steals. Jos had her first double, double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

2. UCLA 9-3, 16-7

Beat USC 74-56 before 8,000 fans. Jasmine Dixon with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Markel Walker added 13 points and 7 rebounds. The Bruins had 14 steals and out rebounded the Trojans by 15.

3. Cal 8-5, 14-10

Beat Washington State 62-44. Alexis Gray-Lawson scored 19 points, and had 9 rebounds and 5 steals.

Beat Washington in Overtime 75-68 with Gray-Lawson taking charge with 35 points. Alexis also had 8 rebounds. Layshia Clarendon added 14 points.

Lost to UCLA 74-56. Ashley Corral, Jackie Gemelos and Kari LaPlante all had 11 points, but Corral also had 7 turnovers.

Beat Arizona 92-74. Taylor Lilley had 15 points, 9 assists and zero turnovers. Amanda Johnson scored 13 points and had 14 rebounds. Nia Jackson led the scoring with 18 points and 5 steals. Three other Ducks scored in double figures.

Beat ASU 82-81. Taylor Lilly hit 5 threes for 26 points. Micaela Cocks scored 20 and Amanda Johnson 13 points and 7 rebounds.

6. ASU 7-6, 15-9

Beat Oregon State 62-49 behind Danielle Orsillo’s 26 points.

Lost to Oregon 82-81. Orsillo scored 29 and Becca Tobin 20. ASU shot 65% but a combination of 9 less free throws, 8 less rebounds and 5 more turnovers did them in.

7. Arizona 6-7, 12-11

Lost at Oregon 92-74. Soana Lucet had 23 points but 8 turnovers. Ify Ibekwe was plagued by foul trouble but scored 9 points and had 12 rebounds in 21 minutes. Davellyn Whyte scored 12 points and had 6 assists.

Beat Oregon State 60-55. The Wildcats shot 58 % but took an incredibly low 36 shots. They had 20 turnovers and were out rebounded by 14. Ify scored 13 points and Whyte 14 points. Reiko Thomas scored 14.

8. Washington: 4-8, 9-13

Lost to Stanford 58-36. The Huskies shot only 26% and Sami Whitcomb was held to 8 points.

Lost in Overtime to Cal 75-68. Sami Whitcomb hit a three at the buzzer to force Overtime, but the Huskies could only score 2 in the extra period. Whitcomb only scored 9 points but did have 5 assists. Kristi Kingma scored 14 and had 7 assists.

9. Oregon State 1-11, 9-14

Lost to ASU 62-49. Haiden Palmer scored 16 points on 8 of 10 from the floor.

Lost to Arizona 60-55. El Sara Greer scored 14 points on 6 of 7 from the floor and had an incredible 12 offensive rebounds, 15 total. Palmer scored 13 points and Talisa Rhea scored 16 points. OSU shot 38%, Arizona 58%.

10. Washington State 1-12, 6-18

Lost to Cal 62-44. Jasmine Perkins the bright spot with 13 points and 7 rebounds, but the Cougars had 24 turnovers, 7 by Perkins. The turnovers and shooting 28% did in the Cougs.

Lost to Stanford 98-67. Jasmine Perkins scored 26, 11 of 14 from the floor and 4 of 7from three.

Stanford ups their Pac 10 lead to 3 games

1. Stanford 11-0, 21-1.

Stanford beat UCLA 74-54, holding the Bruins to 21 2nd half points. Jayne scored 23 points and had 13 assists and also blocked 3 shots. Ros had 15 points, Kayla 14 rebounds and Jeanette 8 assists.

Beat USC 77-39, out rebounding the Trojans by 27 and shot 50% to the Trojans 18%. Jayne broke the school rebounding record and had 13 boards to go with 15 points. Nneka with 16 points and 13 rebounds, Kayla had 18 points and 14 rebounds. Ros held Ashley Corral to a single point for the first 35 minutes, and scored 11 herself to go with 5 steals.

2. UCLA 8-3, 15-7

Lost to Stanford 74-53. Jasmine Dixon scored 16 points and had 9 rebounds for the Bruins.

Beat Cal 40-32. The Bruins shot 27% but held Cal to 22% and out rebounded them.

3. USC 7-4, 13-9

Lost to Cal 61-55. Ashley Corral scored 16 points and Brianna Gilbreath 12. Jackie Gemelos made her long awaited debut, as a Sr, 4 years after her first ACL injury. Gemelos scored 8 points and had 5 assists.

Lost to Stanford 77-39. Jackie Gemelos scored 13 points and had 6 rebounds, but USC shot only 18% for the game and were out rebounded by 27. Ashley Corral was held to 4 points.

4. Cal 6-5, 12-10

Beat USC 61-55 and out rebounded the Trojans by 19. Layshia Clarendon scored 18 points. DeNesha Stallworth scored 14 points and had 10 rebounds. Gennifer Brandon pulled down 14 rebounds.

Lost to UCLA 40-32. Yes they played a full game. The Bears shot 22% and were out rebounded by 9. Alexis Gray Lawson scored 11.

Beat Washington in Overtime 67-61. Kayli Murphy scored 16 points and had 11 rebounds. Danielle Orsillo added 13 points and 6 assists.

Lost at home to Washington State 66-62. Murphy scored 14 points and had 10 rebounds. Alex Earl hit 2 late three pointers but it wasn’t enough for the Sun Devils.

Beat Oregon State 82-62 in Eugene with a crowd of just over 4,000. Taylor Lilley scored 23 points and Micaela Cocks 18. Nia Jackson scored 14 and had 5 assists and 4 steals. The Ducks shot 50% and caused 29 turnovers.

7. Arizona 5-6, 11-10

Beat Washington State 73-66. Davellyn scored 20 points, had 6 assists and 5 steals. Soana Lucet scored 18 points. Ify Ibekwe had 12 points and 11 rebounds. Reiko Thomas pulled down 11 rebounds from her Guard position.

Beat Washington 80-50 in maybe their best game of the year. Arizona shot 51% and out rebounded the Huskies by 20. Soana Lucet, who is playing at a very high level right now, scored 22 points and had 10 rebounds. Ibekwe had 17 points and 10 rebounds. Brooke Jackson was 4 of 5 from three and scored 15 points.

8. Washington: 4-7, 9-12

Lost in Overtime at ASU 67-61. Laura McLellan scored 18 points for the Huskies. The Huskies shot 52% for the game but were out rebounded by 10.

Lost to Arizona 80-50. 5 assists only for the Huskies. McLellan with 18 points for the second game in a row. Sami Whitcomb with 16 points, the rest of the team scored only 16 points.

9. Oregon State 1-9, 9-12

Lost to Oregon 82-62. The Beavers had 29 turnovers but out rebounded the Ducks by 21. Haiden Palmer had a career game with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Kristen Tilleman had 10 points and 13 rebounds while Talisa Rhea scored 14 points. The Beavers didn’t make a three.

10. Washington State 1-10, 6-16

Lost to Arizona 73-66. The Cougars were out rebounded by 10 and had an extremely low number of assists, 4. They also had 21 turnovers. The Cougars did have balanced scoring, 4 players with 10-13 points.

Beat ASU 66-62 behind April Cook’s 33 points. Cook was 13 of 18 from the floor. Kiki Moore added 16 points and 5 assists.
