Stanford Clinches the Pac10 Title

Stanford Clinched at least a tie for their 10th straight Pac 10 title.

1. Stanford 15-0, 25-1.

Beat Oregon 104-60. Ros held Lilley of Oregon to a single late field goal. Stanford had 8 blocked shots, Jos with 4 and held the Ducks to 32% shooting. Jayne with 26 points and 12 rebounds, Kayla with 14 and 10, Nneka with 17 points. The big news was Jeanette with 6 of 9 from three for 26 points, 7 assists and no turnovers.

Clinched the Pac 10 Title tie with an 82-48 win over Oregon State. Jayne with 12 points and 10 rebounds, and by passing 1,000 rebounds and 2,000 points joined Val Whiting and Nicole Powell as the three Stanford players who have done this. Nneka with 17 points, Jeanette with 13 points and 5 assists and Jayne adding 5 blocked shots.

2. UCLA 11-3, 18-7

Beat Washington 73-55. Last game the Bruins drew 8,000. Mostly freebies for kids, but 8,000 is fantastic. It worked so well this game had 796 fans. Sad, as UCLA is playing so well. UCLA shot 54% The Bruins did have 25 turnovers, they caused the Huskies to have 26. Markel Walker was 6 of 7 from the floor and 6 of 7 from the free throw line for 19 points. Jasmine Dixon added 17 points.

Beat Washington State 93-58. Five Bruins scored in double figures led by Rebekah Gardner with 19 points. Jasmine Dixon had 16 points and 10 rebounds. UCLA had 20 steals, 5 by Gardner, leading to 38!! Cougar turnovers. But, the Bruins had 36 turnovers themselves. The Bruins shot 58%. Nina Earl scored 13 points as did Doreena Campbell. Moniquee Alexander added 11 points and 7 rebounds.

3. Cal 10-5, 16-10

Beat Oregon State 66-62. Alexis Gray-Lawson was 6 of 9 from the floor for 17 points. DeNesha Stallworth scored 19 points and Gennifer Brandon had 10 rebounds.

Beat Oregon 79-73. Gray-Lawson went only 1 for 9 from three but led with 19 points. Brandon had 11 points and 11 rebounds. Stallworth 19 points and 11 rebound. Layshia Clarendon scored 17 points. Cal was only 3 of 27 from three, but out rebounded the Ducks by 23.

4. ASU 8-6, 16-9

Beat Arizona 57-49. Danielle Orsillo, Becca Tobin and Janae Fulcher all scored 10 points. Alex Earl hit two late three pointers to break the game open at the end.

4. USC 8-6, 14-11

Lost at home to Washington State 64-52. Must really be fun to be in LA, so much to do. Attendance at only 532. Geesh. No one in double figures for the Trojans, although four players had 8 or 9 points. Aarika Hughes had 11 rebounds and Jackie Gemelos had 9 rebounds and 8 points.

Beat Washington 56-51. Gemelos scored 13 points and Brianna Gilbreath has 11 points and 10 rebounds.

6. Oregon 7-7, 16-10

Lost at Stanford 104-60. Micaela Cocks scored 20 points, and Victoria Kenyon, the Oregon post, was 3 for 3 from three for 13 points.

Lost to Cal 79-73. Taylor Lilley scored 24 points, 4 from 7 from three. Nia Jackson had 16 points and Amanda Johnson 13.

7. Arizona 6-8, 13-12

Beat Cal State Northridge 73-50. The Wildcats shot 61% in the 2nd half and out rebounded Northridge by 16, although did have one more turnover. Ify Ibekwe scored 17 and Soana Lucet 12 but they had 9 turnovers between them. Davelynn Whyte had 9 points and 5 assists. Brooke Jackson scored 10 points.

Lost to ASU 57-49. . Soana Luccet had 12 points and 10 rebounds. Ify only scored 4 points but had 17 rebounds.

8. Washington: 4-11, 9-16

Lost to UCLA 73-55. The Huskies committed 26 turnovers. Kristi Kingma led the Huskies with a low 10 points. Sarah Morton and Sami Whitcomb scored 9 each. Whitcomb added 6 assists.

Lost to USC 54-51. Kingma scored 15 points, Mollie Williams scored 8 and had 10 rebounds.

9. Washington State 2-13, 7-19

Beat USC in LA 64-52. Kiki Moore had 19 points, making 3 threes and pulled down 9 rebounds. April Cook scored 18 points. The Cougar defense held USC to 27% shooting.

Lost to UCLA 93-58 and committed 38 turnovers. Carli Noyes had 15 points. Kiki Moore had 7 steals, but 9 turnovers, Danielle LeNoir had 8 steals.

10. Oregon State 1-13, 9-16

Lost to Cal 66-62 and fell to last place in the conference. Three players scored 15 points for the Beavers, Talisa Rhea, Haiden Palmer and Eisha Sheppard. Sara El Greer had 9 rebounds, 5 offensive. Both teams shot 48% from the floor.

Lost at Stanford 82-48. Haiden Palmer led Oregon State with 16 points.
