This Week’s Results for the PAC 12 TEAMS

Stanford and Cal remain 1-2 and it’s a tie between Washington and Colorado for the final first day bye in the Pac 12 tourney. First 4 teams have byes and Colorado plays the Oregons while Washington faces Stanford and Cal.

1. Stanford (26-2, 15-1): Beat Oregon State 90-53. 19 points and 12 rebounds and 4 blocks by Chiney. Taylor Greenfield scored 18 going 7 of 9 from the floor and 4 of 5 from three. Amber Orrange with 15 points and 6 assists. Stanford was 10 of 22 from three.
2. Beat Oregon 74-50. Chiney with 24 rebounds , a new school record and 27 points,. Stanford had 9 blocks and 9 steals. Chiney also had her 52nd career double, double breaking sister Nneka’s career record.

1. Cal (25-2, 15-1): Beat Oregon 77-55 with Brittany Boyd missing the game with a groin injury. Six players had 8-14 points.

Beat Oregon State 58-56 after trailing at one point by 17. Layshia Clarendon scored 26 points and Gennifer Brandon scored scored16 and added 11 rebounds. The other players made just 5 shots. 3500 fans watched.

3. UCLA (21-6, 12-4): Beat USC 68-54. Atonye Nyingifa scored 22 points, 11 of 14 from the floor. Markel Walker had 12 rebounds, 8 assists but 6 turnovers.

Beat USC 63-58 before 8300 fans.

4: Washington (19-8, 11-5): Lost to Utah 60-46. Jazmine Davis with 22 points.

Lost to Colorado 68-61. Kristi Kingma scored 19 points.

4. Colorado (21-5, 10-5): Beat Washington State 59-45. Arielle Robertson had 17 points and 13 rebounds.

6. Utah (15-11, 7-9): Beat Washington 60-48. Michelle Plouffe had 17 points and did Iwalani Rodriques. The Utes had 10 blocks.

Beat Washington State 59-47. Rodriques scored 17 and Taryn Wicijowski scored 22 points and had 9 rebounds.

7. Washington State (10-16, 6-10): Lost to Colorado 59-45.

Lost to Utah 59-47. Lia Gladiera scored 14 points.

8. USC (8-18, 5-11): Lost to UCLA 68-54 before a home crowd of 706. Cassie Harberts had 17 points and 9 rebounds.

Lost to UCLA 63-58, Harberts had 22 points and 11 rebounds.

8. ASU (13-15, 5-11) Beat Arizona in 2 overtimes 81-76. Joy Burke had 18 points and 10 rebounds, Haley Videckis had 18 points, 8 of 14 from the floor and Promise Amukamara scored 21 points, 9 of 13 from the floor.

Beat Arizona 58-58. Videckis hit a three with 22 seconds left for the win.

10. Arizona, (12-16, 4-13): Lost to ASU in 2 Overtimes 81-76. Davelynn Whyte had 31 points 16 rebounds and 10 assists.

Lost to ASU 59-58. Davelynn Whyte with 18 points , 12 rebounds, 7 assists and 7 turnovers.

11. Oregon State(9-19, 3-13): Lost to Stanford 90-53. Jamie Weisner scored 12.

Lost to Cal 58-56. Jamie Weisner had 20 points and 10 rebounds. Mollie Schwegler was 6 for 6 from the field for 15 points.

12: Oregon (4-24, 2-14): Lost to Cal 77-55. The Ducks shot 25%.

This Week’s Results for the PAC 12 TEAMS


1. Stanford (24-2, 13-1): Beat USC 79-55. Chiney had 26 points and 15 rebounds, Jos Tinkle 17 points and 11 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots. This was Chiney’s 20th double double this season breaking Nneka’s school record. Chiney is one short of Nneka’s career record of 50.

Beat UCLA 68-57. Chiney with 26 points and 7 rebounds, Jos with 10 points aned 9 rebounds and a double double for Mikaela Ruef 10 points and 10 rebounds. Amber Orrange with 7 assists.

1. Cal (23-2, 13-1): Beat UCLA 79-51. The Bears shot 53% and had 4 players scored 12 or 14 points. Brittany Boyd scored 14 and had 10 steals.

Beat USC 72-64. Layshia Clarendon scored 22 and Brittany Boyd 16.

3: Washington (19-6, 11-3): Beat Oregon 97-71. Kristi Kingma had a game for the ages, 35 points and 11 threes. 11 of 17 from three. This is a new Pac 10/12 record and one shy of the NCAA record. Overall the Huskies were 18 of 41 from three. The 18 threes is another conference record. Heather Corral added 4 threes for 16 points.

Beat Oregon State 49-44. Sure didn’t make shots like their last game, as Washington shot only 23 %. Jazmine Davis with 20 points and Kingma with 13.

4. UCLA (19-6, 10-4): Lost to Cal 79-51. Atonye Nyingifa scored 20 points.

5. Colorado (20-5, 9-5): beat Arizona 55-42. Jen Reese had 15 points.

6. Washington State (10-14, 6-8): Beat Oregon State 51-49. Lia Gladiera hit a fade away jumper to win the game with 2 seconds left. Lia had 17 points and 5 assists.

Lost to Oregon 65-60. Gladiera scored 19 points.

7. USC (8-17, 5-9): Lost to Stanford 79-55. Alxyz Vaioletama had 14 points and Cassie Harberts scored 13.

Lost to Cal 72-64. Harberts scored 20 and Ariya Crook scored 15.

7. Utah (14-11, 5-9): Beat ASU 54-46. Michelle Plouffe had 21 points and 17 rebounds. Taryn Wicijowski scored 19.

Lost to Arizona 61-52. Plouffe scored 21 and added 16 rebounds. Wicijowski scored 14 and had 10 rebounds.

9. Arizona, (12-14, 4-11): Lost to Colorado 55-42. The Wildcats had 25 turnovers.

10. Oregon State(9-17, 3-11): Lost to Washington State 51-49. Jamie Weisner scored 11 points.

1. Stanford (22-2, 11-1): Beat Arizona 73-43. Mikaela Ruef with 11 points and 10 rebounds, Chiney with 18 points and 12 rebounds and Jos Tinkle 3 of 4 from three and 15 points. Stanford had 19 turnovers but out rebounded Arizona by 19.

Beat ASU 69-45 before 4500 fans. Chiney with 26 points and 14 rebounds. Jos with 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. Bonnie with 19 points, 5 threes.

1. Cal (21-2, 11-1): Beat ASU 66-53. Gennifer Brandon scored 10 points and had 15 rebounds. Layshia Clarendon scored 18 on 8 of 11 from the floor. Talia Caldwell scored 14, 6 of 6 from the floor. Reshanda Gray missed her 3rd game with a leg injury. 4100 fans at Cal.

Beat Arizona 91-86. Brandon had 22 points and 14 rebounds, Caldwell had 20 points and 12 rebounds. Clarendon scored 20 points. Gray returned and played 11 minutes.

3. UCLA (19-4, 10-2): Beat Washington 65-61. Alyssa Brewer had 20 points and 12 rebounds. Atonye Nyingifa scored 15 and had 12 rebounds. In a fairly normal stat of late, Markel Walker had 10 rebounds and 7 assists but 8 turnovers.

Beat Washington State 80-65. Five in double figures as UCLA shot 64%. They did have 23 turnovers.

4: Washington (17-6, 9-3): Lost to UCLA 65-61. This game had several statistical oddities. The Huskies were 12 of 25 from three, but only 8 of 39 from two. 48% from three and 21% from two. The Huskies were out rebounded by 16 but had 11 fewer turnovers. 3200 fans attended. Talia Walton scored 18 points, 4 of 5 from three. Kristi Kingma and Jazmine Davis each had 3 threes. Davis scored 17 but 0 fro 11 from two.

Beat USC 61-58. Davis scored 24.

5. Colorado (18-5, 7-5): Beat Oregon State 61-47. Chucky Jeffrey scored 22 points and had 11 rebounds. 3200 fans attended.

Beat Oregon 84-59 before 6700 fans. Jeffrey with 15 points and 15 rebounds, as 4 Buffs scored in double figures.

6. USC (8-15, 5-7): Lost to Washington State 57-54. Christina Marinacci returned after missing a month scoring 17 points, 5 of 7 from the floor.

Lost to Washington 61-58. Cassie Harberts scored 15 and Ariya Crook had 15 points.

6. Washington State (9-14, 5-7): Beat USC 57-54. The Cougars were out rebounded by 20 and still won.

8. Utah (13-10, 4-8): Beat Oregon 67-47. Taryn Wicijowski returned quickly from her injury at Stanford to score 13 points and gather 8 rebounds. Michelle Plouffe scored 15.

Beat Oregon State 66-40. Plouffe had 14 points and 14 rebounds. Iwanli Rodriques scored 18, 4 of 6 from three.

9. Arizona, (11-12, 3-9): Lost to Stanford 73-43. Arizona shot only 31 %. Alli Gloyd scored 13.

Lost to Cal 91-86. Davelynn Whyte scored 26 points with 8 assists, Kama Griffitts scored 21, 5 of 11 from three. The Wildcats shot 50% from the field and 91% from the free throw line, but committed 10 more fouls than Cal.

12: Oregon (3-21, 1-11): Lost to Utah 67-47. Liz Brenner had 11 points and 15 rebounds. Soon she will be throwing the Javelin for the Ducks, after leading them to the WVB Final. WOW!!

This Week’s Results for the PAC 12 TEAMS

Chiney was the Player of the Week for the 5th time this season. One more honor in her career and she will tie Candice Wiggins and Jayne Appel for the most ever POY awards.

Washington continues to win, now 8-2. However they still have games, at home, against Stanford and Cal and UCLA. They also have a game at Colorado. The Huskies do not come to the Bay Area this season.


1. Stanford (20-2, 9-1): Beat Oregon 86-62. Chiney scored 22 points and had 13 rebounds. Jos Tinkle added 16 points. Stanford hit 10 threes and had 25 assists, 9 by Amber Orrange, on 32 made shots.

Beat Oregon State 65-45 while Chiney having a career night scoring 32 points and adding 18 rebounds. Amber Orrange with 12 points and 8 assists, 17 for the weekend. Bonnie Samueslon hit 4 of 5 from three for 12 points.

1. Cal (19-2, 9-1): Beat Oregon State 60-38. Brittany Boyd scored 11 points and had 11 rebounds. Reshanda Gary was out with an injury.

Beat Oregon 72-45. Gennifer Brandon with 14 points and Talia Caldwell with 14 points. Brandon had 12 rebounds and Caldwell had 14. Boyd with 13 points and 8 assists.

3. UCLA (17-4, 8-2) Beat Colorado before only 996 fans 62-46. Markel Walker with 17 points, 12 rebounds 8 assists and 7 turnovers. UCLA had 29 turnovers but shot 55%.

Beat Utah 70-42. Alyssa Brewer led with 16 points. Nirra Fields scored 11, 3 of 5 from three and Kacy Swain had 11 rebounds.

3: Washington (16-5, 8-2): Beat Arizona 74-65. Jazmine Davis returned from a concussion to score 13 points and Kristi Kingma scored 22 points with 5 threes. The Huskies had only 6 turnovers, Arizona 20. Arizona out rebounded Washington by 13.

Beat ASU 74-61. Talia Walton scored 26 points and had 9 rebounds but her big stat was 6 of 8 from three. Jazmine Davis scored 16 and Kristi Kingma scored 14. The Huskies had only 4 turnovers.

5. Colorado (16-5, 5-5): Lost to UCLA 62-46. Shot 29% and out rebounded by 15.

Beat USC 65-49. Chucky Jeffrey scored 15 to lead four Buffs in double figures.

7. Washington State (8-13, 4-6): Beat ASU 54-43. The Cougars 2nd leading scorer, Tia Pressley, is out for the season with an ACL. Lia Gladeira scored 20 points and added 8 rebounds.

Beat Arizona 60-50. Gladeira scored 21 points.

Lost to Cal 60-38. Ali Gibson had 13 points for the Beavers who shot just 27%.

8. ASU (11-11, 3-7): Lost to Washington State 54-43. Arnica Hawkins scored 18 points, 7 of 12 from the floor including 4 of 6 from three. However the other ASU players combined to shot just 16%.

11. Utah (11-10, 2-8): Beat USC 63-60. Taryn Wicijowski is out for the season with an MCL tear. Iwalani Rodriques scored 23 to lead the Utes to the win.
