Mar 5th Update:
Stanford as the #10 seed plays today against Clemson, the #14 seed, in the ACC tournament played at Greensboro, NC. Clemson ended the season with a 13-16 overall record and was 6-12 in conference. Clemson has a #64 net ranking while Stanford's net ranking is #48.
Stanford lost in overtime to Clemson on the road on January 5th 61-65 - here's a Recap of that game. The box score from that game is shown below. Loyal McQueen, #1, scored 26 points and had 6 assists to lead the way for the Tigers.
Like Stanford, Clemson has improved and has some impressive games against strong ACC teams in recent weeks. They had an impressive home loss to a strong Virginia Tech team in their last game, losing 76-78. On Feb 13 they beat the then #19 Georgia Tech at home 68-61, and their prior home game lost to #13 North Carolina 51-53.
Stanford of course has also improved a lot so the game is likely to be highly competitive once again.
The current season stats for Clemson are shown below. McQueen is their scoring leader at 13.5 ppg. The team has several excellent 3 point shooters so the game may come down to who shoots and defends threes the best.
