A Review of the Past Week

Latest Rankings and RPI: Oregon State ranked 7, ASU 10, Stanford 19 Cal 24. RPI: Oregon State 9, ASU 10 Stanford 22, Cal 28, Washington 29.

Oregon State clinches at least a share of the Pac 12 title. Oregon State, ASU Stanford and Cal clinch first day byes in the Pac 12 tourney.


1. Oregon State 25-2, 15-1 Record against Top 25, 3-1
Beat Colorado 66-44. The game was tied at 26 at the half then the Beavers came on strong to win. Jamie Weisner with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Beat Utah 52-42. Weisner had 15 points.

2. ASU 24-4, 13-3 Record against Top 25, 2-2
Beat UCLA 68-56. Katie Hempen had 19 points.
Beat USC in overtime 76-73. Promise Amukamara scored 20 points for the Sun Devils who shot 49%.
Feb 27 Utah, Mar 1 Colorado


3. Cal 20-7, 12-4 Record against Top 25, 2-3
Lost to Stanford 59-47 shooting 11% in the 2nd half with just 3 made shots and none in the last 10 or so minutes. Mercedes Jefflo scored 14.
Beat Stanford 63-53 making 8 of 19 threes. Reshanda Gray had 17 points and 9 rebounds while Brittany Boyd had 12 points and 13 rebounds.

3.Stanford 20-8 , 12-4 Record against Top 25, 1-5
Beat Cal 59-47 out rebounding Cal by 16. Also 8 more turnovers by the Card than cal. Brittany McPhee came off the bench to score 9 points and grab 6 rebounds and really sparked the win. Amber Orrange had 19 points and Lili Thompson added 18 points.
Lost to Cal 63-53. Brittany McPhee had a breakout game with 24 points on 10 of 16 shooting and was the top rebounder with 6. Other than McPhee Stanford shot just 33%.

5. Washington 20-8, 9-7 Record against Top 25, 2-4
Lost to Washington State 83-72. Jazmine Davis had 23 points and Kelsey Plum added 18.
Beat Washington State 83-53. Plum and Talia Walton both scored 22 points.

6. UCLA 11-16, 7-9 Record against Top 25, 0-9
Lost to ASU 68-56. Nirra Fields had 17 points.
Beat Arizona 75-41. The Bench scored 38 points as Kelli Hayes led with 12 points.

6.USC 15-12, 7-9 Record against Top 25, 0-6
Beat Arizona 77-51. The Bench scored 43 points. Kristen Simon after missing the last game had 12 points and 9 rebounds. McKenzie Calvert carried off the floor at the end of the Stanford game had 14 points.
Lost to ASU in overtime 76-74. 18 points and 12 rebounds for Alexyz Vaioletama.
Feb 26 at Washington, Feb 28 at WSU.

8. Washington State 15-12, 6-10 Record against top 25 2-5.
Beat Washington 83-72. Lia Gladiera had 23 points, Tia Presley 17 and Mariah Cooks 16. Louise Brown had 10 rebounds.
Lost to Washington 83-43 shooting just 23%.

9. Oregon 12-14, 5-11. Record against Top 25: 0-5
Lost to Utah 66-64. Jillian Alleyne and Lexi Peterson each scored 18 points while Alleyne added 13 rebounds.
Lost to Colorado 84-69. Alleyne had 21 points and 13 rebounds.

9. Colorado 11-15, 4-11 Record against Top 25, 0-3
Lost to Oregon State 66-44. Jen Reese had 19 points and 9 rebounds.
Beat Oregon 84-69. The Buffs shot 47% and the starters all had between 9 and 15 points. Reese had 15 points.

11.Utah 9-17, 3-13 Record against top 25, 0-4

Beat Oregon 66-64. Four players scored in double figures.

12. Arizona 9-18, 2-14 Record against top 25, 1-5
Lost to USC 77-51.
Lost to UCLA 75-41. The Wildcats shot 26% and were out rebounded by 19.
