This Week’s Results for the PAC 12 TEAMS

Two huge upsets this week by Pac 12 teams. Washington State beat # 20 Ohio State and Colorado beat # 8 Louisville. Colorado and Stanford remain the two unbeaten teams.

1. Stanford (9-0): Continues as the Number 1 team in the country and beat UOP 78-43. Chiney had 31 points, a career high and 13 rebounds. Mikaela Ruef also had 13 rebounds and added 5 assists.

2. Cal (7-1):

Dec 17 at Northwestern, Dec 21 Kansas, Dec 28 George Washington, Jan 4 at Utah


3. UCLA (8-1): Beat St Mary’s in a tournament in NYC 76-62 using a late 12-0 run to break open a tight game. Markel Walker with 15 points and 12 rebounds and Alyissa Brewer with 12 points and 10 rebounds. 5 Bruins scored in double figures.

Beat St Johns in OT 53-52 as Jasmine Dixon scored on a layup with a second left. Brewer had 14 points and 15 rebounds.

4. Colorado (9-0): Beat Denver 83-63. Brittany Wilson had 19 points, 3 of 6 from three. Chucky Jeffery scored 14 points and had 11 rebounds and 5 assists.

Beat # 8 Louisville 70-66 despite 25 turnovers due to Louisville’s press. At that only 7 more turnovers than Louisville and Colorado had the rebound edge by 12. Jeffery scored 22 points.

5. Utah (8-1): Beat Houston Baptist 71-33. Michelle Plouffe and Taryn Wicijowski each scored 16 points.

6: Washington (7-2): Lost to UCSB in a bad loss 54-46. The Huskies were down 25-8 near the end of the first half. Finals must have really hit them. Jazmine Davis scored 20 but was 6 of 20 from the floor. Here’s a stat, the Huskies made 7 threes. One more than from 2. Washington shot 21% for the game but only 16% from two.

Beat Idaho 62-48 Davis scored 19 but again the Huskies shot poorly at 28%.

7. Oregon State (6-4): Beat Cal State Fullerton 54-46. Super Frosh Jamie Weisner had 16 points and 10 rebounds. Jamie was 5 of 9 from the floor, 2 of 3 from three.

Lost to Loyola Marymount 73-6, a bad loss for the Pac 12. Ali Gibson scored 21 points but had 7 turnovers. The Beavers were outscored by 11 at the free throw line as they committed 26 fouls and had 30, THIRTY turnovers.

8. ASU (6-4): Beat Univ of San Diego 72-39.

Dec 22 Longwood, Dec 30 Idaho State, Jan 4 at Washington


9. Washington State (3-5): Beat # 20 Ohio State in a huge win 62-55. Coach June Daughtery is an Ohio State grad. Lia Gladeira scored 16. Ohio State had 5 assists and 21 turnovers. Congrats to the Cougs.

10. USC (3-5): Lost to Texas A&M 79-61. USC shot 30% and had 23 turnovers. Harberts scored 19.

Dec 21 UC Davis, Dec 22 Duke, Dec 29 Vandy, Jan 4 at Oregon State


11. Arizona, (8-3): Beat Weber State 81-49. Davelynn Whyte scored 19.

Dec 20 Longwood, Jan 4 at Wash State, Jan 6 at Washington


12: Oregon (1-8): Lost to Oregon 80-62. Jillian Alleyne continues her great play with 24 points and 16 rebounds. The unheralded Frosh was 11 of 15 from the floor.

Beat Fresno State, a good win and Oregon’s first, 66-65. The Ducks shot 44% their season best. Alleyne scored 23 while Megan Carpenter had 12 points and 13 rebounds.
