The great Saturdays at Kezar Pavilion, or the San Francisco ProAm its proper name, starts Saturday at Noon. There are 6 teams and all the Stanford players are on the South Bay team. The teams play every Saturday from Noon to 6PM, 3 games each day. The play starts this Saturday, June 18 and then Playoffs start Saturday, July 23rd.
Signing up to play from Stanford and playing for South Bay:
Chiney Ogwumike
Jos Tinkle
Amber Orrange
Jasmine Camp
Bonnie Samuelson
Taylor Greenfield
Erica Payne
Others on this team include Gabby Green a to be Soph at St Mary’s of Berkeley High School (who will be with her Travel Team for July) and just graduated Brittany Spears from Colorado who was their leading scorer this past season.
Incoming Frosh Alex Green was injured back in November and is not on a roster for the summer. The league has any number of people who play only a game or two, and I don’t know at this point how often Chiney and Jos will be available. We shall see.
Interesting players from other teams:
East Bay:
Nicolia Simmons a rugged 6-1 post who graduated from USF and has been playing in the ProAm for years. This team only has 7 players at the moment so more could be added.
Golden State:
Justine Hartman-Cal
Afure Jemerigbe-Cal
Erika Johnson -Cal
Eliza Pierre-Cal
Joesetta Fatuesi- from San Jose’s Presentation High School where she will be a Soph next year. She will be on her Travel Team in July

Jackie Nared-St Mary’s

Saidah Allen – Fresno State (last year the top High School rebounder in the area last year)
San Francisco and Bay City play the 2PM Game on Saturday
Mission Rec Center:
Toni Russell –Grad of USF and a Kezar legend.
Lauren Bell-Pepperdine, former Sacred Heart Cathedral High School player
Jazmine Jackson-Pepperdine and SHC High School
Kamilah Jackson- Hawaii and SHC.
KiKi Moore -Fresno State and former SHC
Terrilyn Moe a Sr at Terra Nova High School
Mission Rec plays South Bay in the 4PM game. Now a caution, the Stanford players move in for summer school this weekend and historically don’t play the first weekend. This appears to be true again this year.
Come on out. It’s a great social affair and lunch or brunch or dinner in The City? You just can’t be that.
