Stanford won their 63rd straight home game, undefeated for 4 full seasons, to advance to the Sweet 16 in Spokane. We take on North Carolina. Two absolutely electric crowds at Maples to give our finest a great sendoff to the Northwest.
ASU and UCLA in the NCAAs:
UCLA won their first round game beating Montana 55-47 in a game that was in doubt until the last minute. Jasmine Dixon had 15 points and 9 rebounds. UCLA was outrebounded and had only 6 assists and 19 turnovers.
Last night UCLA lost at Gonzaga 89-75. Darxia Morris scored 20 in her last game for the Bruins while Jasmine Dixon scored 18 points and had 10 rebounds. Courtney Vandersloot scored 29 for the Zags and had 17 assists, 8 turnovers. Kayla Standish scored 30 points for the 2nd straight game, going 11 of 14 from the floor. Gonzaga shot 56% from the floor.
ASU lost their first round game to Temple 63-45. Becca Tobin had 10 points and 8 rebounds. ASU shot 32% from the floor and 14% from three and had 7 more turnovers than Temple.
A note Utah lost their first round game but Michelle Harrison went out well with 10 points and a career high 16 rebounds.
Arizona, Cal and USC in the WNIT:
Cal beat Cal Poly in their first game 74-60. Layshia Clarendon scored 20 points and had 6 assists. Talia Caldwell scored 12 and had 17 rebounds.
The Cal lost, last night, to new Pac 12 member Colorado 81-65. Brittany Spears, a Sr, scored 33 on 14 of 19 from the floor for Colorado. Layshia Clarendon scored 20 points for Cal, who finished the year with an 18-16
USC won its first 2 games to advance to the round of 16. They beat UCSB 67-64 before a total of 290 Trojan fans at the Galen Center to win. WOW!!. Five USC players scored between 9 and 15 points and USC had only 5 turnovers.
Then USC beat Nevada 78-69. Jackie Gemelos and Ashley Corral each scored 20 points. Gemelos also had 6 assists. Cassie Harberts added 15 points.
Arizona lost their first game to Utah State 103-95. Utah State shot 52% so while the Wildcats Soana Lucent ended her career with her best game ever, 35 points and 11 rebounds it wasn’t enough. Ify Ibekwe had 15 points and Davellyn Whyte had 24 points.

Results Form the Pac 10 Tournament
Day 1:
ASU beat Oregon State is a close low scoring game 50-45. ASU outrebounded Oregon State by 10 and Dymond Simon scored 13 points. Sage Indendi and Alyssa Martin each had 10 for Oregon State whose season comes to an end.
Arizona beat Oregon by one 90-89. Davellyn Whyte and Soana Lucent both had 23 for the Wildcats and Ify Ibekwe added 19 points and 16 rebounds. Ariel Thomas scored 29for the Ducks. Amanda Johnson had 25 points and 11 rebounds while Danielle Love scored 11 points and had 13 rebounds.
USC beat Washington State78-66 as frosh Cassie Harberts had a career game with 31 points and 14 rebounds. Jackie Gemelos had 13 points and 9 rebounds. For Washington State Jazmine Perkins had 17 points and 11 rebounds and Sage Romberg scored 15 points.
Cal beat Washington, after losing both regular season games to the Huskies 58-48. Layshia Clarendon scored 16 points and had 11 rebounds and Talia Caldwell had 11 points and 13 rebounds. For the Huskies Kristi Kingma and Mackenzie Argens each scored 10 points.

Cal beat ASU 48-43 as Layshia Clarendon scored 22 points. ASU had 8 more turnovers than the Bears. Becca Tobin scored 10 for the Sun Devils.
Arizona beat USC 72-61 as Davellyn Whyte scored 24 points, hitting 5 threes. Soana Lucent scored 20 points and Ify Ibekwe scored 13 points and had 11 rebounds. For the Trojans Briana Gilbreath scored 16 points, but she missed 14 shots going
7 for 21. USC shot 31%. Christina Marinacci grabbed 13 rebounds, 9 offensive, but went only 2 for 11 from the floor. Arizona now has 21 wins, 3rd best in the
Pac 10. Are they NCAA bound?

Beat Washington State 66-48. Jasmine Dixon with 17 points and Darxia Morris with 15points. UCLA had 22 steals, WOW, 6 by Dixon and 5 by Nyingifa.
3. ASU, 19-9, 11-7. Beat Oregon 75-66. Kimberly Brandon scored 20 points. Dymond Simon added 17 points and Becca Tobin was 7 of 8 from the floor for 15 points.
Beat Oregon State 59-54. Kimberly Brandon had 17 points and Tenaya Watson scored 14 going 3 of 3 from three.
4. USC 18-11, 10-8. Beat Washington State 74-67. Briana Gilbreath scored 19 points and Cassie Harberts 17. The two combined to go 22 of 28 from the free throw line.
Beat Washington 65-61. Jackie Gemelos hit several long threes, 26 and maybe 28 footers and scored 15 points. Gilbreath was only 3 of 17 from the floor but had 12 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Ashley Corral was suspended by the Coach for this game and the first Pac 10 Tournament game.

6. Cal, 15-14, 7-11. Lost to Stanford 75-51. Rachelle Federico scored a career high 16 points for Cal.
7. WSU, 8-22, 6-12 lost to USC 74-67. Jazmine Perkins scored 20 points. The Cougars outscored USC by 13 from the floor, but USC converted 32 of 46 free throws.
Lost to UCLA 66-48 committed 28 turnovers.
7. Washington 11-16, 6-12. Lost to UCLA 60-42. The Huskies shot only 32% and had 23 turnovers. Sarah Morton scored 12 points.

Colorado, 15-14, Beat Nebraska 64-61. The Buff’s are improving quite a bit late in the season as they get closer to playing in the Pac 12. Brittany Spears had 20 points and 9 rebounds.
Lost to Baylor 81-59. Brittany Spears scored 23 points and had 9 rebounds.
Utah, 14-16, beat Colorado State 61-59. Michelle Harrison celebrated her 2nd SR Day as she started at Guard for the first time this season. Michelle scored 4 points and had 5 rebounds in 27 minutes. Iwalani Rodriques scored 23 points on 6 of 10 from three.
Lost to UNLV 51-47. Rodriques scored 16 points and Michelle Harrison had 10 rebounds.
USF 4-25. Lost to Santa Clara 62-58 in the first round of the WCC tournament. Thus ends a pretty disappointing season for Jennifer. She has 4 recruits coming in, lets hope that and a strong off season gets USF on track.
