Results of the Week ending Feb 27

1. Stanford, 26-2, 17-0. Beat Oregon State 73-37 and clinched the Pac 10 title tie and the # 1 seed in the Pac 10 tournament.

Beat Oregon 99-60 to win their 11th straight Pac 10 Title and their 60th straight home win.

Next Games: March 3 Cal, 8PM


2. UCLA, 24-3, 14-2. Beat Arizona 74-70. The Bruins shot 52% and 5 players scored between 11 and 16 points. Jasmine Dixon was held to 2 points in 27 minutes of play.

Beat ASU 61-45. Dixon had 17 points and 13 rebounds. Atonye Nyingifa scored 15 points.

3. ASU, 17-9, 9-7. Beat USC 69-55 with Dymond Simon scoring 22 points and Kimberly Brandon adding 15 points.

Lost to UCLA 61-45. Becca Tobin had 10 to lead the Sun Devils. ASU was out rebounded by 15, and shot only 31%.

4. USC 16-11, 8-8. Lost to ASU 69-55. Briana Gilbreath scored 17 points.

Lost to Arizona 84-74. This almost certainly ends their NCAA hopes. Briana Gilbreath had 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 blocked shots. Christian Marinacci had 15 points and Jackie Gemelos had 14 points.

4. Arizona, 17-10, 8-8. Lost to 74-70. Five Wildcat players scored in double figures and the team shot 52%.

Beat USC 84-74. Davellyn Whyte had 19 points, Ify Ibekwe 17 points and 3 others scored in double figures.

6. Cal, 15-13, 7-10. Lost to Oregon 60-43 and shot 21% and worse they missed 63 shots. Wow, and shot 4% from three. Talia Caldwell scored 10 points and had 20 rebounds, 9 offensive.

Beat Oregon State 58-49. Sr and little used Guard Rachelle Federico had 15 points. Layshia Clarendon scored 16 points and had 12 rebounds. Mikayla Lyles scored 13 points, 3 of 4 from three. Post players Stallworth and Caldwell were only 4 of 22 from the floor.

7. WSU, 8-20, 6-10 Lost to Washington 65-48. The Cougars shot 29% and no one scored in double figures.

7. Washington 11-14, 6-10.

Beat Washington State 65-48. This despite Kristi Kingma scoring only 5 points. Mackenzie Argens had 18 points and 8 rebounds. Regina Rogers added 13 points.

9. Oregon, 13-14, 4-12 Beat Cal 6046 at Cal without star Nia Jackson. Ariel Thomas scored 21 points, 4 of 7 from three, and Amanda Johnson scored 13 points and had 11 rebounds.

Lost to Stanford 99-60 as Thomas and Johnson were only 3 for 22 from the floor.

10. Oregon State, 9-18, 2-14. Lost to Stanford 73-37. Sage Indendi scored 12 points. I really liked her play, first time watching her in person.

Lost to Cal 58-49. Indendi Had 15 points, 5 of 9 from three.

Colorado, 14-13, Beat Oklahoma in a big home game win, 73-68. Brittany Spears had 24 points and 4 steals while Chuckie Jones had 12 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists.

Beat Missouri 63-59 as Brittany Spears had 26 points and 9 rebounds. Jones added 18 points.

2. UCLA, 22-3, 12-2. Beat Cal 63-48. Rebekah Gardner scored 16 points and Jasmine Dixon had 8 points and 9 rebounds. UCLA committed 27 turnovers.

Lost to Stanford 67-53. Stanford outscored UCLA in the paint 26-10. Dixon with 10 points and 12 rebounds, Darxia Morris with 14 points, but combined they were 7 of 29 from the floor.

3. USC 16-9, 8-6. Lost to Stanford 78-64. Briana Gilbreath scored 17 points and had 4 steals and her sister Stefanie scored 16 points, 4 of 4 from three. Stefanie missed her first 3 years with knee injuries and had scored 46 point this year, playing in only 11 games as she recovers from the knee problems.

Beat Cal 80-67 with 26 for Ashley Corral and a huge 7 of 8 from three. Jackie Gemelos with 16 points.

3. ASU, 16-8, 8-6. Beat Washington 71-63. Becca Tobin had 21 points on 9 of 11 shooting and 10 rebounds. Dymond Simon had 16 points, 3 of 4 from three. ASU won despite only 5 assists and 22 turnovers.

Beat WSU 55-47 behind Kimberly Brandon’s career high 21 points and she also had 10 rebounds.

5. Arizona, 16-9, 7-7. Beat Washington State in Pullman 78-61 in a big road win for the Wildcats. Ify Ibekwe scored 23 points and had 13 rebounds. Ibekwe also had 5 steals and 3 blocked shots. Davellyn Whyte scored 20 points, 4 of 6 from three and had 8 assists.

Beat WSU 74-66 as Ibekwe had 24 points and the Wildcats shot 50%. Soana Lucet added 14 points.

6. WSU, 8-18, 6-8 Lost to Arizona 78-61. Sage Romberg had 16 points and 9 rebounds. Jazmine Perkins did not play

Lost to ASU 55-47. Rosetta Adzasu had 11 points and Katie Madison had 10 rebounds.

7. Cal, 14-12, 6-9. Lost to UCLA 63-48. Eliza Pierre scored 12 for the Bears. Cal had 6 assists and 26 turnovers and shot only 31%. However Cal had 2 more steals than UCLA did and forced 27 UCLA turnovers.

8. Washington 10-14, 5-10. lost to ASU 71-63. Kristi Kingma had 18 points but only 5 of 20 from the floor. Regina Rogers had 11 points.

9. Oregon, 12-13, 3-11 lost to Oregon State 61-58 after leading by 20 at the half. Amanda Johnson had 18 points and 9 rebounds but the Ducks shot only 30%.

10. Oregon State, 8-16, 2-11.

Beat Oregon 61-58. El Sara Greer had 21 points and 13 rebounds before 3,130 Beaver fans. Earlysia Marchbanks added 17 points. The Beavers won despite going only 4 of 22 from three.

Results of the week ending Feb 6

Stanford travels to LA this week with a Friday game at USC and a Sunday Noon game on TV against UCLA. USC is playing very well right now and UCLA is playing great, at 21-2. Washington State moves into the first division with a two way tie with Cal for 5th/6th.

1. Stanford, 22-2, 13-0 Beat Washington State 100-59. Beat Washington 62-52.

2. UCLA, 21-2, 11-1. Beat Oregon 75-48, a very convincing win. Rebekah Gardner scored 18 points in 21 minutes. Markel Walker had 13 rebounds. Jasmine Dixon played only 12 minutes. The Bruins held the Ducks to 25% shooting.

Beat Oregon State 58-48. Dixon had 16 points and 8 rebounds while Walker had 18 points and 8 rebounds but also 5 turnovers. Doreena Campbell scored 10 points and had 7 assists.

3. USC 15-8, 7-5. Beat Oregon State 70-51. Ashley Corral scored 14 points, 4 of 8from three and became the all time leader in three’s for USC, as a JR. Briana Gilbreath scored 19 points and had 13 rebounds. USC shot 48%.

Beat Oregon 85-63 with a 19-0 run in the 2nd half. Jackie Gemelos scored 18 points. Ashley Corral scored 16 with 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Briana Gilbreath scored 15 points with 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Cassie Harberts scored 15 points.

4. ASU, 14-8, 6-6. Lost to Arizona 73-60. Dymond Simon returned from a concussion to score 21 points. Becca Tobin had 12 points and 9 rebounds.

5. Cal, 14-10, 6-7. Lost at home to Washington 6-49 ending their very faint NCAA hopes. Cal shot 30% from the floor, 17% from three and 52% from the free throw line. Layshia Clarendon scored 13 and DeNesha Stallworth 12 points.

Lost to Washington State 68-66. Stallworth had 20 points and Clarendon scored 16.

5. WSU, 8-17, 6-7 Lost at Stanford 100-59. Jasmine Perkins was 7 for 7 and 2 of 2from three for 18 points in just 22 minutes.

Beat Cal 68-66. Perkins with 14 points and 7 rebounds. The Cougars are enjoying their best season in 13 years. Congrats to them.

7. Washington 10-12, 5-8. Beat Cal at Cal 60-49. Sarah Morton scored 18 points and had 8 assists. Kristi Kingma scored 16 points and had 6 assists although 6 turnovers. Kingma was 3 of 5 from three. Washington shot 51% from the floor.

Lost to Stanford 62-52. Kristi Kingma was outstanding, 22 points 5 of 9 from three and some of those were 24 or so feet. 4 Huskies fouled out, all post players, and still Washington stayed in the game until the very end.

7. Arizona, 14-9, 5-7. Beat ASU 73-60 with maybe Player of the Week Ify Ibekwe scoring 22 points and an incredible 22 rebounds. Davellyn Whyte had 14 points.

9. Oregon, 12-12, 3-10 Lost to UCLA 75-48. The Ducks shot only 25%. No one scored more than 9 points. Nia Jackson missed her 2nd game.

Lost to USC 85-63. Amanda Johnson had 15 points and 8 rebounds as the Ducks played without star Nia Jackson again. Jackson’s replacement Ariel Thomas did score 15 points. A great crowd in Knight Arena in Eugene, 4500.

10. Oregon State, 8-15, 1-11. Lost to USC 70-51. Alyssa Martin scored 18 points, the Beavers shot only 30%.

Lost to UCLA 58-48 and was only 3 of 19 from three. Still played the Bruins very tough. Earlysia Marchbanks scored 17 points.

Colorado, 12-11, Lost to Texas Tech 72-44. 12 points and 11 rebounds for Brittany Spears. The Buffs had 28 turnovers. Former Cal player Casey Morris scored 19 for Texas Tech.

Utah,12-13, Lost to San Diego State 50-49. Utah couldn’t score in the last 2 ½ minutes. Michelle Harrison had 10 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.

2. UCLA, 19-2, 9-1. Beat USC 74-67. Jasmine Dixon had 23 points and 14 rebounds. Daxria Morris scored 24 points on 10 of 15 from the floor. A weird stat, the UCLA bench played 25 minutes without a point or rebound.

3. ASU, 14-7, 6-5. Lost to Stanford 72-54. Kimberly Brandon scored 18 points. The Sun Devils shot only 1 of 10 from three and only 30% overall.

Beat Cal with a last 1/10th second 3 pointer by Deja Mann 45-44. Becca Tobin had 14 points.

3. Cal, 14-8, 6-5. Beat Arizona 73-63 with 6 players scoring between 9-16 points. DeNesha Stallworth had the 16, and added 10 rebounds, although she also had 6 turnovers. Cal shot 52% from the field.

Lost to ASU 45-44 on not a last second shot but a last 1/10 of a second shot. Stallworth had 12 points and 8 rebounds

5. USC 13-8, 5-5. Lost to UCLA 74-67. Jackie Gemelos had 16 points on 4 of 5 from three. Stefanie Gilbreath played in her first ever Pac 10 game and hit a three. Stefanie is a Sr and former McDonalds All American who has missed all her career with knee injuries until this year.

6. WSU, 7-16, 5-6 Beat Oregon State 67-64. Sage Romberg scored 17 points and April Cook and Ireti Amojo 16 points. Both Cook and Amojo were 4 of 9 from three. Both teams made 11 threes.

Swept the Oregon schools beating Oregon 96-90. WSU was also amazing on three, but positive, 15 of 23. Five players were in double figures, three of them off the bench. The bench was 7 of 11 from three. Katie Madison had 17 points and 9 rebounds. The bench had 43 points.

7. Arizona, 13-9, 4-7. Lost their first home game of the season, after 9 straight wins, to Cal 73-53. Both Davellyn Whyte and Ify Ibekwe had 21 points. Ify added 11 rebounds.

Lost to Stanford 91-61. Ibekwe had 16 and Whyte 16 pints, but the Wildcats could shot only 30% against Stanford.

7. Washington 9-11, 4-7. Beat Oregon in Overtime 90-76. Kristi Kingma scored 20 points, 4 of 9 from three. Regina Rogers had 18 point and 10 rebounds in only 23 minutes. Mackenzie Argens had 10 points and 10 rebounds. The Huskies shot 45%.

Lost to Oregon State 51-46. Regina Rogers had her best game ever for Washington with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Players other than Rogers were 9 fro 34 from the floor.

9. Oregon, 12-10, 3-8 Lost at Washington in Overtime 90-76. The Ducks were out scored 16-2 in the OT. Amanda Johnson had 16 points, 4 of 9 from three and 10 rebounds. The Ducks made 11 threes in 28 attempts. Nia Jackson scored 22 points.

Lost at Washington State 96-90. Nia Jackson missed the game with an injury. Amanda Johnson had 22 points, but only 1 for 11 from three, and 9 rebounds. Ariel Thomas came off the bench with 19 points and 6 assists replacing Jackson. Oregon attempted an amazing 40 threes, making 11.

10. Oregon State, 8-14, 1-10. Lost a heartbreaker at WSU 67-64. The Beavers have lost 4 Pac 10 games and 3 non league games by 5 points or less. Sage Indenti scored 22 points, 6 of 8 from three. Alyssa Martin added 13 points, 3 of 4 from three. El Sara Greer had 10 points and 9 rebounds.

Beat Washington in Seattle for their first Pac 10 win, 51-46. Sage Identi had 17 points, 5 of 7 from three. El Sara Greer had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Beat Air Force 55-40. Michelle Plouffe had 20 points as did Iwalani Rodriquez. Iwalani hit 5of 6 from three.
